It’s Not Too Late to Jump on The Heap!

Music starts at 5 p.m. today (Thursday, October 10) at The Heap, the festival curated by Uncle John’s Bone and The Wright Avenue. This three-day festival is the third iteration and the first time held at Little Creek Vineyards in Snow Camp, North Carolina.

The Heap is presented in association with Non Dualistic Designs, HG Solutions, and Planktonious Productions and sponsored by Bull’s Tavern, The Empourium, Tribucha Kombucha, Salem Organic Supply, and Gate City Growlers.

THURSDAY

Chuck Mountain gets the party started at 5, followed by Cosmic Superheroes and Fifth Species. Asheville soul and funk rockers Travers Brothership headline the first day of The Heap on their road to Suwannee Hulaween.

FRIDAY

Now you’ve got two stages to navigate, appropriately Heap and Pile! Your hosts, Greensboro’s The Wright Avenue, will close out the evening with their blues groove, with lots of great music during the day, beginning with JuJu Guru at noon. You get two sets of superb jamtronica from Imperial Blend (Greensboro, too) and a performance from St. Petersburg funksters Ajeva celebrating an outstanding new album.

Ajeva: Dickinson, Nivens, Skahill, Mayea, Gilchrist & Young

The Settlement will bring their great West Virginia jam to the party. Also on the bill: Sons of Paradise, Cut Rugs, and Ranford Almond. And there’s just no telling who’ll play the Mystery Stage at midnight!

SATURDAY

The Hypnotic Conquest welcome you to Saturday, with your headliners The Mantras (even more Greensboro!) dishing out their great blend of prog rock and jam. There is more goodness from West Virginia with The Kind Thieves stirring up rock, jam, and Americana. The Wright Avenue and The Settlement are back for another dose, and there is more from The Good Dope and Unaka Prong. Not to mention Heap Hop!

Along the way, you’ll likely also encounter DJ Disco Daddy doing pop-up sets behind the hospitality tent, and Doggie Paddle rocks the Mystery Stage after midnight.
