Shaky Dropped the Beats

In a shocking post, organizers of the Georgia festival have officially announced that Shaky Beats will not take place in 2020. Still young, the two-day festival has been taking place in Atlanta with heavy-hitting lineups since 2016.

Shaky Beats was founded by Tim Sweetwood as part of Shaky Festivals LLC. Its sister festival is Shaky Knees, an indie music festival that also takes place in Atlanta. Notably, EDM festivals have not done well in the ATL market. TomorrowWorld and Counterpoint festivals are prime examples of this. Yet, with Beats, the event was seemingly successful, giving fans reason to question the sudden decision to call it quits.  The fest has brought big-time acts like The Chainsmokers, Nas, Kaskade, Girl Talk, Martin Garrix, and Big Gigantic to the ATL.

No exact reason was given nor word regarding the future of Shaky Knees festival.
