Never a Quiet Moment with The Fitzkee Brothers
How many teenage brothers do you know who just performed at SXSW and have 46 shows slated on their calendar (with more on the way)? If you guessed Alex Fitzkee (16) and Drew Fitzkee (19), you are most correct! The Fitzkee Brothers have been busy gigging on the regular, touring with revered singer and percussionist Melody Trucks, and releasing a slew of singles demonstrating their impressive prowess.
Drummer Alex and bassist Drew (both also sing) have been busily crafting their style and talent for more than two years, all with the incredible support of Chantal and Andrew, their wonderful parents. The young men perform regularly on the eastern shore of Delaware and Maryland and extend their radius to include the Baltimore and Washington vicinities.
The Fitzkees have been working with Melody Trucks for two years, including last week in Austin at SXSW. They have six more dates together in May, including a headlining roll with Vaylor Trucks at Sunshine Get Down in Florida, and three more later in the summer with a show at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park July 27 and one August 2 at The Bitter End in New York. There is also a special headlining set at Willie’s Midnight Crazy Train Camp Out Melvin Seals and Ron Holloway!
