Resonate Suwannee — THE SCHEDULE!

The schedule for Resonate Suwannee is here, and it is just as great as we expected. Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, is the place April 2-4, presented by the park, Essential Productions, STS9, and Purple Hat Productions. With the Music Hall now in play for late-night shenanigans, it promises to be one fabulous weekend!

Almost all of the bands are on the Amphitheater Stage, and most of the EDM performers are on Uncle Charles’ Porch Stage. The Music Hall will play host to lots of up-and-coming EDM acts as well as some great favorites up close and personal!

THURSDAY, APRIL 4

AMPHITHEATER

Headliners Papadosio regulars at the park, right at home in the AMP bowl. lespecial just finished a four-night run here in the Sunshine State, ready for one more. Sneezy delighted at last year’s Resonate and at Hulaween.

A word about Sauce Pocket, who have drawn the opening slot. Ever since the revered Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival, Paul Levine has made a statement about the band chosen for that slot, with the likes of Shak Nasti, Savi Fernandez, London Souls, Custard Pie, and Tamayo. Get there in time to catch this funk machine from Jacksonville, now with powerhouse vocalist Jessica Jones. Just sayin’…

FRIDAY, APRIL 5

AMPHITHEATER

Festival hosts STS9 will play two sets, including STS9 ChromaLight. From their explanation at its debut last summer at Red Rocks:

Chromesthesia: when sound involuntarily evokes an experience of color, shape, and movement. Induced by different auditory experiences, such as music, phonemes, speech, and/or everyday sounds.

There are different philosophies on the connection between sound and color going back to Isaac Newton and beyond. As far as we know, there is no right or natural way to represent sound as color, it’s all about intention and intuition. We will draw from the sources that were inspired by and ultimately let the music take us where it wants to go: ChromaLight.

The New Mastersounds are touring in the States for the first time in four years, back on the stage they’ve played so many times in the past at numerous festivals. Ghost-Note continue to redefine funk in the jazz setting, as they did last year at Hulaween. LPT are a brilliant Salsa Dura and Afro-Cuban orchestra from Jacksonville, and Ben Clonch & Friends will open with fine rock and roll.

PORCH STAGE

Chromeo (DJ set) caps the night, with K+lab, Mark Farina, Ott., and Afrobeta.

MUSIC HALL

Dimond Saints, KR3TURE, SIDE TRAKD, and Megan Hamilton make this a real dance party!
