Bhakti Fest West 2015: Six Days of Yoga, Music, Meditation, and Well-being

It will take place September 9-14 at Joshua Tree Retreat Center in the legendary Joshua Tree National Park in the heart of Southern California. Bhakti Fest devotes their vision of a gathering to the ideas of living in a healthy and divine heart-lead community. There will be 24 hours of continuous kirtan (sacred music) from world renowned kirtan artists. Some of the artist embrace reggae, hip hop, and electronic roots. It will be one of the final performances of Krishna Das! Over 100 yoga classes will be lead by some of the best yoga teachers in the world, so do not forget your mat. This festival focuses on individual transformation and is the perfect setting for one to devote time to himself or herself. Teaching workshops, meditation, and prayer sessions will be ever present to provide space for one to turn inward.

Bhakti Fest West is a drug- and alcohol-free celebration, so bring the family! Space for children to enjoy themselves will be provided at the “Conscious Kids Land.” The list of extraordinary features goes on and on. Scared fire ceremonies and (pujas) and Hanuman Chilsas will be conducted for attendees to learn ancient devotional practices on their journey. Healthy food options will be abound! The organizers will provide vegetarian, vegan, and raw vegan options to make sure everyone’s body is fueled for the six days of festivities. Bhakti Fest strives to be well-rounded and will provide an eco-friendly and holistic market place, as well as offsetting their carbon footprint by taking initiative in green energy solutions. Attendees will be exerting an extensive amount energy from singing, dancing, and yoga. The Wellness Sanctuary will be the spot to recharge one’s mind, body, and spirit. This space will provide massage, bodywork, energy work, intuitive readings, and other unique wellness-enhancing modalities. Lastly, take a dip in the onsite pool to make the experience come full circle!
