Femstock: Celebrating Women and Charity Through Music!

If you’re going to be in the Baltimore area this Sunday, June 4th, you need to know about Femstock. This special evening is a celebration of music and women’s rights all to benefit an outstanding charitable organization. Great tunes, girl power and a good cause… do you have something better to do that night?

The date of Femstock was certainly not chosen at random. On June 4, 1919, the amendment that would allow women the right to vote was passed by Congress. This concert celebrates that historic victory by donating all proceeds to the Junior League of Baltimore. The community organization is led by women who encourage volunteerism by indiscriminately training and educating others who are passionate about their mission. They help women to realize their potential and develop the skills needed to give back to their community.

The show is going down at Baltimore favorite The 8×10 and will feature a stellar lineup of kick-ass female artists. The authentic and soulful Gypsy Soul Revival; the funky trio Suga Grits, who will be accompanied by multiple female guest vocalists throughout the night; the fiery Rachel Ann Morgan Band; and up-and-coming blues artist Amanda Lynne are sure to provide a bill packed with powerhouse performances.

Femstock combines good music with a good cause, and we anticipate nothing but good vibes at this show! Support local artists, talented women and the Junior League of Baltimore at The 8×10 on June 4. Tickets are available here.
