Funk Fest Punta Gorda, 420 Sweetwater and More on Tap for Voodoo Visionary
The Voodoo Visionary boys are getting busy, starting with two dates in Florida this weekend (January 25-26). The Atlanta quintet will return to Florida for their third year at Funk Fest Punta Gorda before heading to Colorado and Texas for a series of dates, including two shows with The Fritz from Asheville.
Also on their calendar is a sweet return to the 420 Sweetwater Music Festival at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta over the 4/20 weekend.
These gents have been funkin’ things up ever since releasing their first album, Spirit of the Groove, in 2015. Since then, they have refined their “improvisational funk dance music” to a fine art, getting “Dancin’ Feet” on the floor everywhere they go.
Voodoo Visionary are: Dennis Dowd, keyboards; Trent Gilson, bass; Scottie MacDonald, vocals; Mac Schmitz, drums; and Mike Wilson, guitar.
