New Music Venue Tabellas Debuts with Uncle John’s Band, Damon Fowler, More

You will be hearing a lot more about Tabellas at Delaney Creek, a lovely new music venue on Causeway Boulevard in Palm River between Tampa and Brandon. The location has hosted weddings before, but the brand new stage is almost complete, with the first event coming this Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, May 25.

The show, running from 1 p.m. until dark (9-ish), will feature venerable and grateful rockers Uncle John’s Band, six-string slinger Damon Fowler, a great Grisman-Garcia-like outing from Primitive Campers, better known as Rich Whiteley (UJB) and Fil Pate with Mike Bortz (UJB) and T.J. Glowicki (Unlimited Devotion), and an exciting cover band called Kozmic Pearl featuring late ’60s and early ’70s rock, especially music by Janis Joplin. Read our first story here.

The venue has a large permanent pavilion replete with ceiling fans. There is also a large tent, and there will be food trucks on site, including Pipo’s and Hog Barbeque, serving wings, tacos, BBQ, and more!. More importantly: they have craft beer, margaritas, sangria, and signature cocktails.

There are also picnic tables under the trees, permanent bathrooms by the stage and pavilion, tons of parking. There will also be lawn games available for use.

Bathrooms (there will also be port-a-potties for that festy experience!)

There are lots of chairs and stools, but you are permitted to bring lawn chairs. You may also bring a sealed water bottle.

Tabellas (5818 Causeway Boulevard) is easily accessible from the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway using the 78th Street exit from the east or the 50th Street exit from the west or by using Causeway Boulevard from Tampa or Brandon.

PLEASE NOTE: The only entrance to Tabellas is heading west on Causeway Boulevard. If you are coming from the west, you will need to pass it and make a U-turn to get to the entrance. If you did come from the east and will exit that direction, you must turn right from Tabellas and make a U-turn at the SECOND place (the first one is a turn lane for the other side).

Please join MusicFestNews at Tabellas on Saturday for the first of what promises to be many music events there. And keep that calendar open for another great holiday show on July 6 with Row Jomah, The Applebutter Express, and Uncle John’s Band!
