BeachLife Festival: Day 3

After two days of non-stop music, Day 3 (Sunday, May 5), the final day at BeachLife Festival, was packed with a stellar line up: Willie Nelson and Family, Ziggy Marley, Grace Potter, Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Colin Hay (Men at Work), and Keller Williams performed to close out this inaugural oceanside festival.

Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel

Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel opened up Sunday on the High Tide stage playing Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia band classic tunes, bringing all in attendance to their feet and singing along.

Colin Hay

Up next on the low tide stage, Colin Hay played new material and covering all of his hits from Men at Work, pumping up the crowd who danced religiously on the sand.

Blues Traveler

Up next on the High Tide stage, Blues Traveler with frontman John Popper and his magical harmonica. Popper and crew took the crowd through Blues Traveler’s greatest hits, driving the crowd ecstatic and creating a dance party throughout the festival grounds.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters

Onto the Low Tide Stage for Big Head Todd and the Monsters. This Colorado band of 33 years delivered a lengthy set including all their big hits from the late ’80s and early ’90s. Once again, everyone dancing and singing in the sand.

Grace Potter

Up next on the High Tide Stage, Grace Potter delivered an energy-filled set like no other. She played all of her hits and a few new songs, too. Her passion-filled set brought all to their feet and put big smiling faces on each and everyone fortunate enough to witness the mastery, although none of us could match her dancing!

Ziggy Marley

Looking ever so much like his late dad Bob, Ziggy Marley played all his father’s hits and some of his own, delivering a momentous long set that will be remembered for a long time.

Willie Nelson and Family

Lastly, to close out the three-day festival, Willie Nelson and Family rocked the High Tide Stage. The 86-year-old Nelson still has plenty in the tank, and his voice is still amazingly very good. Taking the crowd through his greatest hits catalogue of the past six decades, Nelson ended the set with a medley of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken > I’ll fly away,” and John Popper of Blues Traveler joined in for the final song “I Saw The Light.” Everyone left satisfied and wanting more, more, more!
