Gasparilla Music Festival Will Be Taking Over Downtown Tampa For The Fourth Year
Downtown Tampa, Florida will be expressing its renaissance of culture in a huge way this March with it’s fourth annual Gasparilla Music Festival. Don’t mistake this festival for the city’s well known pirate celebration, although it does embrace the community and it’s celebrations. This festival takes place in Curtis Hixon Park & Kiley Gardens, the heart of the city’s artistic mecca along the river bank. It includes four stage for 2 days filled with authentic musical acts.
In the past, The Flaming Lips, Trombone Shortly, and RJD2 have graced the stage for GMF. However, this year the festival is proud to have it’s strongest line up to date. The event will be one of the first performance for Modest Mouse after releasing there first studio album since 2007, “Strangers to Ourselves”. GMF also includes performances by Gogol Bordelo, Trambpled by Turtles, The Budos Band, Dumpstaphunk, Hot 8 Brass Band, and more. The city’s locally grown musical acts will include The Hip Abduction, Miggs Band, and RedFeather to name a few. Check out the entire line up to see who else is playing!
