Big Hair Bands Return to C.B. Smith Park at Rockfest 80’s

Article by Rick Munroe

Following an exciting debut that brought some of the most recognized names in rock, Rockfest 80’s will be returning to C.B. Smith Park in Broward County on November 4th and 5th for a weekend of classic rock tunes and lots of big hair.

Although the lineup for this year’s music gathering is quite different from the festival’s debut last year, there is no shortage of headline acts that once filled both arenas and stadiums. If you banged your head to rock ’n’ roll in the ’80s, you will have a weekend filled with such bands as Quiet Riot, Lita Ford, and Dokken that will jam for two full days.

This year’s headliners are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and Lynyrd SkynyrdWith a total of 16 bands jamming on the Rockfest stage, South Florida should show up to support this incredible lineup of musical giants. If the headline acts aren’t enough, Sebastian Bach, Foghat, The Outlaws, Little River Band, Steelheart, Jack Russell’s Great White, and Mr. Nice Guy will also be appearing on the stage during the two-day festival.

The statewide “Battle of the Bands” talent search contest will also take place, with the winner playing before rock and roll fans attending the event. A muscle car show, DJ village, and street art show will also make this a fun event for those attending.
