Lettuce & Gov’t Mule Headline Candler Park Music & Food Festival This Weekend

The Candler Park Music & Food Festival is back, courtesy of Rival Entertainment, this Friday and Saturday, June 1st and 2nd, in Atlanta, celebrating ten years in Candler Park. You’ll get to enjoy dozens of Atlanta’s food trucks and festival food favorites, an artist and craft market, beer from Terrapin Beer Company, and, oh yes, live music. Great live music, in fact!

Candler Park is located on 1500 McClendon Avenue in Atlanta, and doors open Friday at 4 PM for the evening’s music. Athens alt-pop trio Grand hits the stage at 5, followed by amazing rocker sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell, performing as Larkin Poe.

Keller Williams, the shape-shifter who appears in many different forms, has a new identity, appearing at Candler as Keller Williams’ Pettygrass featuring The HillBenders. Just ponder that amazing possibility — until you arrive Friday! And Mt. Crushmore moves to Atlanta in the guise of Lettuce, that spectacular funk machine from New York. Fasten your seatbelts or lash yourselves to the rail!

Saturday the gates open at noon, with hometown rock-folk-funksters Webster. Then music gets international, electrosoul, hip hop and dance courtesy of Montreal’s Busty and the Bass. Jam circuit stars Twiddle invade from Vermont with their genre-bending blend.

There’s alternative rock from SUSTO (Charleston), followed by the antics of Indiana trio Houndmouth. Finally, the stage will be set for Gov’t Mule and the hardest-working man in show business, Warren Haynes. Blues, rock, funk, soul, R&B, reggae — Gov’t Mule does it all — with flair.

This is one of the best ticket deals you’ll find all festival season. Candler Park is your destination this Friday and Saturday!
