Electric Forest Artist Spotlight #1: Big Something, Magic City Hippies, The Russ Liquid Test

Electric Forest is bursting at the seams with talent this year and fast approaching. As we close in on one of the most magical festivals on earth, getting familiar with the names on the lineup is a must; nobody wants to be the one living with FOMO after missing some of the best sets of the weekend.

This is the first installment in a small series leading up to Electric Forest 2018 that will familiarize you with some of the artists on the bill. Some may be familiar, and some may be new to you, but all will be extraordinary.

If you discover any artists you love, share with your friends, and come dance with us!

BIG SOMETHING

May as well start out the series in a BIG way. BIG Something is a fan favorite that is a force to be reckoned with on the festival scene. Their energetic stage presence, funky horns, fierce vocals, and out-of-this-world synths have been leaving marks wherever this genre-splitting alternative rock-jazz-funk-reggae group goes.

Catch BIG Something on Friday during weekend one and Sunday during weekend two for an explosive dance party you’ll never forget!

MAGIC CITY HIPPIES

Miami’s Magic City Hippies bring an astounding mix of indie funk with a pop, beach soul, and hip hop flair. Their sets are engaging, inspiring, and, simply put, a joy to attend. Fans leave buzzing with afterglow every time the group performs, and the vibes seem to multiply with each set. If you’ve never seen these guys on stage, you are in for a major treat.

Magic City Hippies take the stage (and our hearts) Sunday during weekend one and Friday during weekend two.

THE RUSS LIQUID TEST

The Russ Liquid Test in a nutshell: Ooey, gooey, funky, melty BLISS. Russ Liquid and Andrew Block are wildly talented multi-instrumentalists who orchestrate unique electrofunk compositions that are in a class of their own. Their sets will be among the most talked about performances of Electric Forest, so don’t sleep on them!

Get ready to have your mind blown by The Russ Liquid Test on Thursday both weekends.
