Benjamin Booker’s “tent city revival” music is just what you need right now, and he just released a brand new album, Witness, last week. There is nobody — nobody — who sings truth to power like JJ Grey and MOFRO, a Southern preacher and his band all about the fragile nature of our land.
Cherub is simply an electronic dance party waiting to happen, and then there is the amazing match-up of Todd Snider and Great American Taxi, all manner of Americana, roots rock, and alt-country. Meanwhile, Big Sam’s Funky Nation will transport you to New Orleans for one funky good time.
More? The Record Company, Tyler Childers, Elise Davis, Vita and the Woolf, Warren Byron & the Fabled Canelands, and the Deeram Thomas Trio.
But you were probably wondering about the names that had been “yellowed” out.

That makes for a great festival right there. Today, we discover that they’ve added rockers Blackfoot Gypsies and also Daisy Helmuth.
